Position Summary and Highlights:

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to join our team!

Endoscopy Techs work collaboratively with the RN in providing clinical support to the physician that supports endoscopic procedures. They are responsible for ensuring clean endoscopy equipment prior to the procedure and may also provide patient care support under the direction of the RN and physician.

Schedule and Benefits:

Position will be scheduled on an as needed basis based on team needs. PRN role is not benefit eligible.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required.Previous endoscopy technician experience required within the last year required.Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.

What You Will Do:

Ensures that all endoscopy equipment is clean, functional and readily available for use.Under the direct supervision of a physician, provides clinical support during endoscopy procedures.Ensures a safe, clean, therapeutic environment for the patients.Assists in orientation and training of new staff.Participates in performance improvement and risk management activities.Provides patient care support under the direction of the RN.Acts as a role model for staff by active participation in the Patient Satisfaction initiatives:  Scripting, Department/Patient Rounding, Patient Call-Backs, Thank You Card Program
