JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of assigned department leadership, provides assistance to the patient care team with patient care and routine unit duties. Alerts RN/LPN/Physician regarding any change in patient condition or status. Delivers health care to patients during the admissions, procedure and discharge phase of care. Ensures proper care of technical equipment/accessories used in endoscopic procedures. Decontaminates equipment per policy guidelines.
MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) within 90 days from date in position. Completion of the SGNA online learner directed activity associate’s program within 6 months of date in position. This is a one-time requirement which does not require renewal.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of patient care experience.
Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED)
