Position: Endpoint Engineer
Location: Middlesex County, MA (Hybrid – 3 to 4 days onsite)
Length: 6-12 months
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Endpoint Engineer who will be responsible for managing and optimizing endpoint systems. This role involves overseeing the deployment and configuration of Windows endpoints, implementing and managing patching processes, and ensuring effective software deployment. The ideal candidate will possess strong SCCM skills, a solid understanding of configuration management, and exceptional troubleshooting abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Develop and execute patch management strategies to ensure all endpoints are up to date with the latest security patches and updates. Configure and deploy Windows endpoints, ensuring they are set up according to organizational standards and requirements. Oversee the deployment and installation of software across endpoints, ensuring compatibility and smooth operation. Manage and maintain endpoint configurations, ensuring consistency and compliance with organizational policies. Create and maintain baseline images for Windows endpoints, ensuring efficient and reliable system provisioning. Utilize Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for endpoint management, including software distribution, patch management, and system monitoring. Develop and implement scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline endpoint management processes. Diagnose and resolve complex endpoint issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users and maintaining system performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in endpoint engineering, with a strong background in Windows endpoint deployment and configuration management. Expertise in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. Proficiency in scripting and automation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Patch My PC or PDQ is strongly preferred.
