Overview Energy Analyst V ResponsibilitiesThe Energy Analyst V is responsible for overseeing the applicable execution and assistance of utility and energy data analysis including the duties provided by Energy Analysts and Senior Energy Analysts. The Lead Energy Analyst will frequently interact the entire team including leadership to ensure the duties and responsibilities of Energy Analysts are fulfilled. This position is a supervisory role.
Responsibilities Energy Analyst V ResponsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include:Energy Procurement and AnalyticsOversee the collection, compilation, organization, and analysis of utility consumption data and rates.Ensure all team members develop a comprehensive understanding of utility supply-side opportunities.Ensure all team members develop a comprehensive understanding of utility procurement logistics.Ensure all team members develop a comprehensive understanding of possible utility energy efficiency rebate and incentive programs.Maintain a robust knowledge of utility rate changes and deregulated energy cost trends.Oversee the completion of energy benchmarks.Ensure utility invoices are thoroughly reviewed for errors and the errors are resolved with the utility.Review any utility budgets developed by the team.Energy AuditingAssist with the collection, review, and analysis of data collected from field surveys and utility data.Develop a thorough understanding of existing building and its MEP systems.Assist with the identification and evaluation of improvements for energy or cost reductions.Assist with the development of associated technical reports.This position is Full Time, Exempt, and reports to Logic Director.
Qualifications Energy Analyst V Required QualificationsEducation, Experience, and Qualifications:7+ Years of Experience in a related field.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field.At least 1 of the following certifications: CEM, CMVP, CEP, CEA, EEP, or BEP through the Association of Energy Engineers or equivalent.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications:Engineering Intern (EI) licensure.Experience with energy modeling software.Experience with life cycle cost analyses.Experience with building automation systems.Experience with energy efficiency programs.Experience in analyzing utility data.Experience in managing teams and people.Advanced knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.Strong organizational skills.Experience with data analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R.Travel Requirements10% of time will be spent traveling to job site/office location.Physical/Work Environment RequirementsAscending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.Climb stairs in an office building.Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.Low & high temperatures.Noisy and quiet environments.Small and/or enclosed spaces.Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.Bernhard is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and participates in the e-Verify program.
