Energy Efficiency Engineering Lead

Resource Innovations is excited to invite applications for the role of Energy Efficiency Engineer Lead to become a valued member of our expanding team in New Jersey. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Energy Efficiency Engineer Lead who has a solid background in custom and energy management Demand-Side Management (DSM) program engineering. In this role, you will play a key part in providing our customers with the support and resources they need to identify, quantify, and implement cost-effective energy efficiency projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and support the implementation of energy management programs, such as retro-commissioning (RCx), monitoring-based commissioning (MBCx), and custom energy efficiency projects. Serve as a technical liaison to utility clients, program administrators, contractors, and end customers to maximize program benefits and energy savings. Identify barriers to energy efficiency adoption and propose innovative solutions to overcome them. Maintain and enhance relationships with clients through professional, high-quality interactions and service delivery. Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring deliverables meet technical excellence and client requirements. Develop energy efficiency project scopes and perform technical analysis, including energy modeling and economic simulations, to quantify savings and impacts using spreadsheets and energy modeling software. Conduct energy audits and assessments at medium to large commercial and industrial facilities to identify, measure, and verify energy efficiency improvements across systems such as HVAC, lighting, compressed air, refrigeration, process heating, and motors. Prepare high-quality technical reports summarizing findings, project economics (e.g., energy savings, cost savings, payback periods), and potential incentive opportunities. Conduct measurement and verification (M&V) activities, including on-site visits to gather data, perform functional performance tests, and verify project installations. Provide technical guidance and program feedback, setting clear expectations with stakeholders and delivering on commitments. Other duties as assigned.
