Now’s your chance. **Opportunity** Abt Global seeks bright, talented, and intellectually curious students to participate in our summer Abternship. As a paid Energy & Environment intern in the Client Engagement & Growth department you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on climate resilience, decoration, and natural resource management development policy experience while being immersed into Abt’s organizational culture. Interns will learn from some of the top experts in their respective fields while experiencing events/programs that are useful in any professional setting. Our programs will consist of a robust and structured curriculum that encompasses professional development opportunities, networking events, and a mentorship program. Interns can be remote, hybrid, or in person and can be located anywhere in the United States. The Summer Internship Program at Abt Global is 10 weeks, beginning June 2, 2025, through August 8, 2025. Interns must be able to work full time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the program. **Key Roles and Responsibilities** + Provide research and administrative support for pipeline development within the Just Climate & Energy Transitions Portfolio, focusing on energy, environment, water management and climate adaptation/resilience in Central and Southeast Asia. + Conduct desk research and literature reviews, summarizing findings in technical documents, reports, and related materials. + Research USG, USAID and host-country priorities in energy, environment, and climate resilience. + Analyze Congressional Budget Justifications, Country Development Cooperation Strategies, press releases, and USAID policies to inform strategic pipeline and proposal decisions. + Attend and analyze insights from webinars and talks on energy, environment, water management and climate adaptation/resilience in global development. + Assist in the preparation of business development deliverables, including drafting, editing, formatting documents, creating charts and graphs, and developing PowerPoint presentations. **What We Value** + Candidate is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level degree program.  + Ideal candidates will have academic or work experience in business, economics, engineering, energy, international development, public policy or a related field.  + Demonstrated interest/understanding of global climate, energy, environmental, water challenges and priorities. + Must be able to research and synthesize complex policy and proposal deliverables. + Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.   + Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel proficiency required. + Is available to work full-time throughout the 10-week internship.  + Is eligible to work in the United States.  + Transitioning military are also encouraged to apply.  + Is available to work full-time throughout the 10-week internship + Is eligible to work in the United States + Transitioning military encouraged to apply **What We Offer** We foster an environment where you can Thrive Your Way.
