Energy Manager - BKC Job ID 197165 Posted 17-Dec-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Facilities Management Location(s) Mumbai - Maharashtra - India, Navi Mumbai - Maharashtra - India The purpose of this role is: ● Be part of and collaborate with Global Engineering and Energy team to prioritize on building performance ● Utilizing cloud-based systems for Energy Management, Asset and Space Management and Computer Aided Facilities Management, identify, communicate and implement building performance improvements ● Understand the portfolio performance with respect to energy and compare month on month against design criteria and best practise keeping accurate records ● Benchmarking energy consumption against best practice guidelines and energy targets, lead innovation from building systems, supply chain, incentive schemes, engineering best practices and utilize the wider team resources to deliver energy initiatives. ● Analyze Operation Costs, System Uptime, User Experience, and Comfort through Benchmarking, and Proposing Data-Driven Improvement Initiatives and savings ● Project Management and Project Integration of energy eco projects that are identified to completion. Energy eco projects can range up to $1m. **Accountabilities** ● Oversee the operation and maintenance of cloud-based smart building platforms, ensuring their reliability and accuracy. ● Collaborate with IT and building automation teams to integrate smart building platforms with existing systems. ● Stay updated on emerging smart building technologies and recommend enhancements to improve performance. ● Utilize energy analytics tools to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to building performance and energy consumption. ● Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and cost savings. ● Develop strategies, initiatives, and action plans to optimize building performance and reduce energy consumption. ● Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor building performance metrics. ● Generate reports and presentations summarizing performance data, trends, and actionable recommendations. ● Present findings to stakeholders, including senior management, and provide guidance for decision-making processes. ● Collaborate with building operators, facility managers, and vendors to implement energy efficiency projects and initiatives. ● Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and support for energy conservation goals. ● Provide guidance and training to building operators and staff on utilizing smart building platforms effectively. ● Use Engineering expertise to provide technical oversight, project integration and project management of initiatives that are executed. ● Maintain a thorough understanding of corporate energy strategy, legal, statutory and technical issues which affect the client’s premises. ● Keep abreast of Energy Market developments and changes, ensuring that the client comply with all Energy Related Legislation. ● Develop and implement with clients the overall strategy for energy requirements, to meet the strategic intent of the organization and represent the Energy Department in all areas of the business. ● Promote policy and achievements to emphasize how they contribute to its success ● Develop and implement strategic briefs for design guides /standards to meet the client objectives and brief client departments accordingly. ● Provide monitoring and verification through the full cycle of the project to achieve cost and energy efficient solutions. ● Validate and challenge where necessary the consumption figures in relation to Utility Billing. ● Implement and maintain processes and procedures to achieve economic cost in use ● Maintain a current level of utility market intelligence. ● Plan, monitor and achieve consumption / emission targets. **Qualifications & Experience** ● Minimum 5 years experience in energy management. ● Chartered Engineer or equivalent status in Building services Engineering, mechanical, electrical and related subjects. ● An appropriate energy related qualification or equivalent in building services engineering. (to Degree level or higher). ● Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP), NABERS, LEED etc. certification is a plus. ● Extensive knowledge of the principle techniques and technologies which support the efficient use of energy. ● Competency in current benchmark techniques and statistical analysis. ● Working knowledge of M&T software. ● Project management experience. ● Understand the principles behind HVAC, refrigeration and Lighting operation and system design / integration. ● Extensive working knowledge of smart platforms, BMS or similar software and control theory. ● Capable of preparing fully costed energy efficiency proposals and reports. ● Ability to carry out full energy surveys and feasibility studies of energy technologies. ● Knowledge of customer operations, business drivers, financials and specialist sources of information, legislative requirements where necessary.
