The Iowa Economic Development Authority, located in Des Moines, IA, is seeking two dynamic and detail-orientedEnergy Program Managersto join our Energy Team. These positions will focus on application review, compliance with federal and state programs, creating program policies and procedures, providing reports to the U.S. Department of Energy, marketing programs to applicants, and providing technical assistance for the grants and loans they support. The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) is dedicated to enhancing the economic development of Iowa through innovative programs and initiatives. Our Energy Program Managers will play a crucial role in managing federal and state grants and loans, ensuring compliance, and fostering sustainable energy solutions. Responsibilities: Grant Program Administration + Develop and administer state and federal funding programs related to energy. + Lead or assist with Iowa Energy Office applications for federal or other funding available to State Energy Offices. + Develop proposals, communicate with stakeholders, and create program procedures and materials. + Review applications and proposals submitted to Iowa Energy Office programs. + Monitor grantee project progress and ensure compliance with regulations and program requirements. + Provide technical assistance to stakeholders. Loan Program Management + Assist in developing federal and state loan program policies and procedures. + Conduct research on eligible loan project types. + Coordinate marketing and provide technical assistance to applicants for federal and state loan programs. + Oversee loan application review process, including the review of applications for programmatic eligibility and coordinating financial analysis with other departments in the agency. Minimum Qualification Requirements Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in research, planning, economics, public relations, business, corporate finance, journalism, or marketing and experience equal to two years of full-time work that involved responsibility for interpreting laws, rules and regulations, and/or securing compliance with them; or compiling and evaluating statistical, historical, economic, business, financial, or technical related or program data; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of the above required experience for each year (thirty semester or equivalent hours) of the required education.
