In this role, you will manage and oversee a variety of utility and renewable energy projects that drive innovation and support a cleaner, more sustainable future.
The Energy Project Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of utility and renewable energy engineering projects. These projects typically involve the design, permitting, construction, and maintenance of various projects, such as oil and gas pipelines, electrical transmission lines, solar farms, wind farms, electric substations and BESS facilities.

Salary Range:$105,000- $125,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
+ Perform and oversee the day-to-day technical design tasks associated with a project.
+ Provide technical support during the construction phase, which may involve addressing design-related queries from contractors, conducting site visits, and reviewing construction progress to ensure it aligns with the design intent.
+ Attend routine project design meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and maintain accurate and complete project files.
+ Coordinates regularly with the technical staff, to complete the project within the assigned project budget and on schedule.
+ Understands all aspects of preparing civil design plans and construction bid packages.
+ Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for energy projects.
+ Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
+ Develop SWPPPs and stormwater management designs.
+ Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
+ Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients.
+ Mentor and train junior level staff.
Requirements
Education & Experience
+ B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
+ 8 - 15 years minimum of civil engineering experience, utility and/or renewable energy project design experience preferred.
+ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain it.
+ Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D necessary, experience with MicroStation a plus.
+ Experience with National Grid, National Fuel Gas, and other utility projects.
+ Experience with DOT permitting.
+ Experience with NYS Environmental Quality Reviews (SEQR).
+ Experience with NYS Article VII/Article VIII requirements preferred.
+ Experience with Land Development, Utility Design and Permitting, or Renewable Energy Design and Permitting Preferred.

Salary Description
$100,500 - $125,000 annually
