We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our Residential New Construction and Income Eligible Divisions based in Providence, serving all of Rhode Island. The Energy Rating Specialist will provide technical support and quality assurance for the Income Eligible program, and will work with teams from initial project planning through final construction, performing field inspections through various stages of the construction process to support the delivery of CLEAResult’s portfolio of New Construction services including:

HERS RatingsEnergy Code ComplianceEnergy Star HomesLEED for HomesPassive House

Review construction blueprints and plans

Generate energy modeling using REM-Rate/EKOTROPE software

Visit sites during construction

Perform diagnostic testing, including the use of a blower door, duct blaster and combustion safety equipment

Collect and produce documentation related to the progress, status, and outcome of each project, and prepare and submit required documents to verify code compliance, green certification, and rebate eligibility

Successfully communicate technical concepts to subcontractors in support of energy efficiency and green specifications

Initiate outreach to potential clients to ensure program enrollment goals are met

Write proposals and secure contracts to deliver services

Work with project teams to establish goals and identify available resources for each project

Support projects from initial modeling to final construction, and assist project teams with meeting their goals (energy savings, code compliance, green verification)

Perform real-time observations of and mentoring to contractors performing energy audits within residential homes

Perform technical review of job orders to ensure quality of work and program compliance

Document observations while on-site, noting pre-existing and post-work states and any variances from program specifications, including taking photos of work.

Provide project teams with technical assistance and training to overcome barriers, achieve their verification goals and secure applicable program incentives

Participate in ongoing training and education provided by CLEAResult to build a solid technical knowledge of building science, diagnostics testing and the latest industry developments
