In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead client acquisition efforts and enhance our service offerings, empowering clients to make well-informed energy purchasing decisions. This role will develop and implement ground breaking go-to-market strategies, managing client relationships from the first engagement through contract execution and ongoing support. **What You’ll Do** Lead sales activities for Energy Procurement Services, developing, maintaining, and executing on a robust sales funnel and pipeline. Identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing clients. Employ a multi-layered approach to sales pipeline development, including cold calling, conference participation, in-person presentations, internal networking, and analysis of energy data and industry publications. Establish and champion positive relationships with key clients, collaborators, and channel partners; manage client relationships from the initial contact through contract execution and beyond. Collaborate with cross-functional teams at CBRE to improve service delivery and expand the client pipeline. Support the development of new products and offerings related to electric power and gas procurement. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on business processes, sales metrics, and revenue forecasts. **Travel** : Travel requirement up to 50% **What You’ll Need** + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + 6-10 years of proven success in sales and business development at an energy procurement organization or with a retail energy supplier. + Sophisticated understanding of energy market fundamentals with experience transacting in key markets such as ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, NYISO, and ISO-NE. + Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems. + Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job subject areas, and department. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Energy & Renewables, Business Development Lead position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Energy & Renewables, Business Development Lead position is $200,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
