Energy Sector Experts (Reforms) - Arlington, VA (Remote)

Summary

   

Tetra Tech is recruiting experienced Energy Sector professionals to fill multiple positions to support projects for public sector and commercial clients. Applicants will be considered for part-time or full-time positions.

 

Responsibilities

Applicants should be mid- to senior-level experts with demonstrated work experience in one or more of the following subject matters:

Energy and electricity sector reforms, policy and institutional capacity building. Electricity regulation and tariff design. Financial and economic analysis; transactions and related due diligence. Financial structuring and design for instruments such as viability gap financing. Design, auction, procurement and implementation of renewable/clean energy projects. Clean energy policy, planning, regulations and incentives; climate change mitigation and adaptation.

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in economics, law, management, public policy, administration or similar related fields. At least 10 years of experience in the energy sector covering one or more areas listed above. Experience supporting energy projects funded by donors such as USAID, MCC, IFIs, and other bilateral funding organizations. Ability to build effective relationships with peers, supervisors, clients, and stakeholders. Strong oral and written communication skills. Professional level fluency in French and English (reading, writing and presentation).

 Preferred but not Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in economics, law, management, public policy, administration or related fields. Prior experience working for electric utilities, national government, or international organization.
