While this position is based at Idaho Power’s western Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote. **What does an Energy Settlement Analyst do for us?** This individual will be independently responsible for analyzing the accuracy of daily wholesale market settlement statements, meter validation and submittal, identifying and tracking settlement disputes, performing, and reviewing transmission suballocations, and following market initiatives. Develops trending and tracking analysis tools that measure the accuracy of operational and settlement data. Develops and performs operational analysis to support LSO strategies related to meter data and financial settlement results. Prepares and analyzes data requests as required by NERC, FERC, WECC, CAISO, and Public Utility Commissions. Relocation assistance or signing bonus may also be provided to the successful candidate. **A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE** **Knowledge of:** + Combining and analyzing complex data sets + Data analysis techniques and fundamentals **Preferred:** + Policy analysis and evaluation + Wholesale bilateral electric trading, scheduling, bidding systems, and market fundamentals + Experience working with California ISO market systems and associated data elements + The Western Imbalance Market energy fundamentals + Electric system operations and near-term planning **Skills in:** + Written and oral communication + Customer relations + Attention to detail/good organizational skills + Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills + Analyzing and interpreting financial and numerical data **Preferred:** + Advanced database and excel skills **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** **Education:** + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline **OR** + An equivalent combination of education and experience **Experience:** + 3 years of demonstrated experience in data analysis or financial reporting **Preferred:** + 5 years of demonstrated experience in data analysis or financial reporting **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
