About the Team:
The Raymond Corporation and Toyota Material Handling, Inc. are starting up an advanced energy storage manufacturing facility in Kirkwood, New York. The facility is a vital extension of Raymond’s existing manufacturing operations located in Greene, New York, and will provide support to the growing needs of our material handling customers. These professionals consist of individuals from manufacturing, engineering, quality, material handling, warehouse, facility, maintenance and program management.
About the position:
We are looking for an Energy Solutions Program Manager who will report to the Director of Operations for Energy Solutions at our newly acquired facility. Our culture is focused on safety, quality and delivery. The successful candidate will have a high level of enthusiasm to support the development of a world class low-mid volume manufacturing facility for energy solutions. Individual will be responsible for operations, warehouse and facility project teams to deliver a battery manufacturing system. You will:
* Oversee teams across multi-levels within the Raymond Enterprise, multi-sites, globally with Toyota and/or affiliates and third parties/vendors for the execution of large/complex projects.
* Lead and direct the work of others.
* Using in-depth business acumen; manage relationships between functional areas and key stakeholders including executives and external customers to ensure project success.
* Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
* Communicate project scope and objectives to all relevant stakeholders.
* Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress across the interconnected projects simultaneously.
* Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
* Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
* Prepare reports for upper management and executives regarding status of projects.
* Enhance department and organization by exploring opportunities for process improvement to add value to job accomplishments.
* Use and continually develop leadership skills.
* Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
* Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
* Perform related work as assigned.
* Regular attendance in the workplace is required for interaction with others and to support teamwork.
About you:
* 10 + years of in-depth experience in project management for facility improvement, retrofit, manufacturing equipment installation and production startup.
* Advanced Project Management and Communication Skills in a team-based environment.
* Demonstrated successful utilization of program management, lean manufacturing and TPS skills.
It would be great if you had:
* A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical area such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
* Experience working in material handling or other durable goods manufacturing environment.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - $103,000 - $133,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
