SUMMARY:
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager in our Energy Storage Group to lead, manage, document, monitor, and analyze the supplier quality system on one or more significant projects; and lead necessary corrective and preventive actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incorporate and lead Mortenson’s quality system on one or more significant projects:
Lead Mortenson’s Supplier Quality program for its Energy & Infrastructure Operating Groups.
Working closely across the organization with pursuit, supply chain, design, and operations teams to implement, manage, and maintain a robust supplier quality management program. In conjunction with the Supply Chain team, establish the E&I supplier Quality strategy, enhance processes for supplier selection, qualification, management, and performance. Draft and maintain quality agreements with critical suppliers and trade partners.Maintain Quality agreement database. Develop, assess, and report on supplier quality performance metrics. Drive a performance-based culture designed to meet and exceed operational group and Supply Chain team goals while creating and fostering a healthy team environment. Support and guide team member learning and development around Supplier Quality. Oversee external supplier audit schedule and execution. Manage/monitor supplier complaints and change notifications. Lead audits and/or train other team members to complete supplier audits. Ensure sufficient resources to support expanding audit programmatic needs, including when 3rd party auditors/consultants can be qualified and engaged to support high resource time periods and/or international needs. Sharable Audit Program Development and Oversight: Work with Supply Chain and Operating Group leaders and industry representatives to define a supplier quality audit program which will minimize burden on suppliers and trade partners, improve industry standardization that provides maximum value to Mortenson. General Quality System: Work closely with other Quality leaders and teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of the overall Mortenson Quality System, including NCR requirements such as RCA reports and/or incident investigations and follow-up. Support the development and delivery of training for general Quality processes and procedures as needed. Communicate well and align across operating groups, projects teams (ops, design phase, estimating), suppliers, HQ quality, HQ supply chain, OG quality
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Operations Management, or engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), or equivalent field/scientific discipline 5+ years of experience in the design, engineering, manufacturing, or construction industry; with experience leading an operating group or organization-wide quality system that includes supplier quality management Knowledge of one or more quality systems as well as auditing processes and techniques Communicate professionally and effectively across multiple internal and external audiencesBuild, motivate, and lead diverse and growing teams Participate and contribute to industry standardization efforts Evaluate operating group(s) and supply chain needs and develop appropriate strategies and solutions in an unconventional environment Current driver’s license Ability to travel up to 50%, including internationally
Preferred Skills:
Auditor and/or related professional certification (CSQP, CQM, CQI, other related ASQ, or ISO 9001:2015 Certified Lead Auditor) Experience/knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), building envelop requirements, and/or National Electrical Code, NFPA Electrical Safety or Fire Protection System codes, IEEE, NETA testing standards, UL testing standards Change leadership – Experience and understanding of behaviors, tools, and processes needed to lead organizational change Experience in/knowledge of renewable energy construction Experience working in a matrix organization structure / comfortable working across operating groups and integrated teamsA few benefits offered include:

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
