Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…​

To join our team as an Energy Technician III. You will be acting as a lead and installing energy efficiency measures to reduce consumer energy bills for various utility and weatherization programs within a defined territory in a company-provided vehicle. There is no overnight travel.

Install energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heatersPerform minor repairs to include windows and doorsAssist with loading and unloading work trucksEnsure measures installed are to program guidelinesTroubleshoot technical problems and issues in accordance with utility specificationsEnsure all required paperwork and status updates are completed dailyAssist with keeping the job site organized and safeAssist with customer site job set up and tear downPerform testing of combustion appliances to ensure proper function.​

Physical requirements:

Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weatherSit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workdayUse repetitive hand motion & use of basic hand and power toolsUse of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds as needed

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

High School Diploma or equivalent1-3 years of prior experience in the residential construction industry is requiredMinor plumbing and/or electrical experience is requiredBPI Certification preferred (Candidate must be able to obtain a BPI Certification, paid for by the Company, within 90 days of hire. Training will be provided)
