SummarySpire is seeking an Application Support System Analyst III to work in the Houston, TX location. This position will be responsible for providing support and guidance to team members in the evaluation of requirements, the development and selection of proper resolution and for following change management standards and processes. The Application Support System Analyst III, ETRM, will support the Open Link Endur system and the Spire Marketing team.
Duties and Responsibilities Act as IT representative for ETRM related applications and processes Provide development, production support, business analysis, and infrastructure duties as needed Ensure ITS change management policies and procedures are followed as they relate to the ETRM related systems Perform initial positive and negative testing for solutions prior to releasing for user acceptance testing Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology features as needed to support business goals Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections Proactively work with ETRM vendor to maintain health of the ETRM environments, create support requests, as needed, for defects, upgrades, etc. Recommend patches, upgrades, and configuration changes Practice effective organizational and analytical skills Update and maintain internal software documentation. Create and update reports; implement changes to reports. Work with managers to enhance, publish, and train staff regarding implementation best practices in specific functional area of the product solution Provide audit related user security reports Understand software quality best practices, test strategy and planning Identify potential problems associated with the implementation of a project and develop a test plan to cover all the areas of those problems Meet with team members and end-users to discuss and capture accurate direction on projects. Use experience to direct best resolution selection, coding, testing and delivery processes Reading technical manuals, conduct system diagnostics and provide technical guidance Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Ability to adapt in a fast-moving and changing culture All other duties as assigned Essential Characteristics and Competencies Supervisory Responsibilities Required Education (certifications, licenses) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience and certification required Required knowledge, skill and abilities 7+ years of experience IT related experience required 5+ years industry experience in energy supply, trading, and/or risk required 5+ years of ETRM systems experience required 5+ years of Systems Analysis experience required 5+ years of project related experience required 5+ years of OpenLink Endur JVS development experience required 5+ years of experience with Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows Server and Windows Terminal Server required 5+ years of OpenLink Endur experience, including design, configuring and troubleshooting required Strong Knowledge of natural gas markets Extensive experience with OpenLink Endur and exposure to Commodities trading required Strong experience with Endur architecture (front, middle, and back office modules) Strong experience working with PL/SQL and SQL Strong knowledge of database technologies (Oracle/MS SQL) Tableau experience preferred Willing to learn new skills and system modules. Physical demands, environment and schedule Normal Work Environment - Work is normally performed in a shared office environment-make changes to this depending upon the position requirements.
