ENG/SNG Broadcast Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented TV News ENG (Electronic News Gathering) / SNG (Satellite News Gathering) Coordinator to oversee the logistical and technical coordination of live news broadcasts. This role is responsible for ensuring all ENG/SNG equipment, crew, and transmissions are properly arranged and executed for smooth and uninterrupted coverage of news events.

The ENG/SNG Broadcast Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all field video in newscasts and special reports.

Tune-in video from various sources and work closely with news crews, producers, and engineers to coordinate live shots for newscastsReceive and record video signals from ENG / microwave, satellite, and bonded cellular technologiesRoute and send video to other stations via satellite, bonded cellular, FTP, transfer websites, and network streaming systemsCoordinate video for requests to and from partner / affiliate stations, including editing said video when needed Monitor strength, clarity, and reliability of incoming and outgoing signals to ensure quality broadcasts with consistent and uninterrupted signalsOrganize and assign IFB communications for field crew live shotsReport equipment problems and ensure repairs are made when necessaryReview edited video for incorrect content and possible technical issuesPerform other duties as assigned

​Requirements & Skills:

Technical experience with digital electronics, broadcasting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceFluency in EnglishExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenMinimum one year experience with digital electronics systems in a television broadcasting environment (More or less depending on market size)Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment.Strong PC/MS Office experienceExperience with digital transmitters and other broadcast-related equipmentAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as news events require
