Engagement and Peer Support Manager

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm

Salary: $48,000/ year

Sign On Bonus: $1000; $500 upon completion of 30 days, $500 upon completion of 6 months

The Engagement and Peer Support Manager promotes engagement, hope and full integration and functioning of clients needed to live successfully in the community. The Engagement and Peer Support Manager welcomes, orients, and engages clients into services, collaborates with Referral and Intake Team Leader and other CBHC / Outpatient (OP) Leadership team members to determine needed services.

The Engagement and Peer Support Manager helps clients explore their options and gain the confidence, skills, and resources needed to succeed in goals. In addition, the Engagement and Peer Support Manager provides peer orientation, training and supervision to Peer Specialists, Recovery Coaches, Young Adult Peer Mentors, Engagement Specialists and other team members supporting clients accessing Vinfen Behavioral Health (VBH) services. The Engagement and Peer Support Manager serves as an expert and support to all components of the CBHC under the direction of the Senior Director of Recovery Services.

The Engagement and Peer Support Manager also:

Joins with Referral and Intake Team Leader and Clinic Access Coordinators to initiate and conduct intake process, as requested/indicated, or identifies Peer Specialists or Recovery Coaches to function in this capacity, focusing on welcoming, orienting, and engaging clients to support their understanding of services and supports available. Works with the client on readiness for goal setting using established protocols and/or guides the work of their direct reports in these activities when ongoing peer support or engagement needs are identified. Shares personal experiences; provides support, education, and advocacy to clients; especially at times of service and life transitions; for example: being discharged from a hospital, detoxification unit or respite setting, moving to their own apartment, or when facing life stage challenges -- particularly for young adults and elders. Supervises Peer Specialists, Recovery Coaches, and other CBHC staff as assigned. Completes documentation in accordance with Certified Peer Specialist training standards. Performs other related duties, as assigned.
