Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Engagement Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL. Access Technology (https://www.fau.edu/president/blog/access-tech-grant/) is a five-year initiative awarded to FAU by the U.S. Department of Education. The program is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities by providing training for careers in technology. *** Updated Description *** Summary of Responsibilities: + Review documents and determine eligibility of potential participants (individuals with disabilities from diverse backgrounds). + Conduct interviews with candidates. + Attend recruitment events, conferences, and meetings with public and private stakeholders. + Implement a personalized support system addressing diverse participant needs. + Monitor participant progress throughout the project period. + Identify early warning signs of potential dropout and proactively address issues. + Organize and attend team meetings. + Utilize the Team project site to facilitate connections among team members. + Track project progress and ensure timely completion of tasks. + Work closely with the project's Principal Investigator. + Liaise with other team members and stakeholders as needed. + Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the project website. + Ensure website content is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with project goals. + Collaborate with IT team to implement necessary updates and improvements. View it here: www.bdb.org/apartments Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, or related area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required. Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Master’s degree preferred. Three to five years of experience in participant recruitment, screening, and support for individuals with disabilities. Demonstrated ability in project management: project coordination, progress tracking, and team collaboration. Proficiency in project management tools and conducting interviews. Familiarity with website management; web editing skills and understanding of web accessibility standards (Manage and update content). Ability to organize events, meetings, and implement personalized support systems. Professional, organized and maintains confidentiality, as well as maintaining database of candidates’ records. Experience with gathering and tracking data. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Recruiting and interviewing skills. Comfortable utilizing phone (voice conversations), Zoom, MS Teams, email and In-Person contact. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy and patience when working with individuals with disabilities from diverse populations. Analytical skills for document review and eligibility determination. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint). Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year.
