Complete Description:
The selected consultant will be responsible for providing an analysis of proposed enhancements to an existing system and provide an estimate of the level effort to implement those changes. Engagement Manager must have experience in a leadership role, providing life cycle services in an enterprise environment and must be able to direct technical, business and personnel aspects of the engagement.
The Engagement Manager will need to plan the development work to identify data sources, determine work effort needed to source the data to the data warehouse and be able to determine work efforts to ETL the data. Engagement Manager will need to develop work plan, timelines, and staffing requirements and must be able to defend the assumptions used to support the time and cost estimates.
Previous experience as Engagement Manager/Project Manager/Technical Architect for at least three successful projects;
Experienced in architecture, design, development and implementing Business Intellegence solutions within an data warehouse environment;
Understand and recommend replication methodologies
Experience with Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) process architecture, design and development;
Five years of managing Business Intelligence architecture, design and development;
Demonstrated analytical skills and excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
Experience facilitating end user interviews, requirements analysis, and star schema design for proofs of concept using various development strategies for building data marts.
Previous experience in developing project work plans, resource plans and cost estimates;
Facilitate end user interview, requirements analysis with the ability to lead Joint Application Development sessions and develop actionable business requirements.
Experience with architecture that allows users to retrieve data from multiple source types (mainframe, client/server, Windows, etc.) including multiple server platforms and accessing data sources.
Experience overseeing design and implementation of logical schemas, key constraints, triggers, and indexing strategies.
