Engine Rebuild Shop Service Technician

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, 1st shift Engine Technician - Shop position available at our Irving, Texas location. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday from 7 AM - 4 PM. 

Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing high-quality teardown, inspection, and repairs of diesel engines (natural gas) in a shop environment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, and ensuring maximum value for work performed.

 

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:

Perform complex repairs correctly such as teardown, inspection, repairs, test running, and/or painting of diesel engines in a shop environment. Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level. Ability to work with limited supervision and able to work in a team atmosphere. Must have own tools. Must have a valid driver's license. GED or High School Diploma highly desired. Must have a steady employment history. Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc. Must be able to lift 60lbs. approximately 15 times a day. Able to stand and walk for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and results-oriented. Excellent attendance is required. Able to work overtime as needed to meet customer demand. Must have great leadership skills and be able to lead a team. Must have at least 2 year of experience.
