The Data Platform Engineer for Enterprise Data at Chipotle will be an active participant and driver in ensuring our platform and infrastructure continues to mature and evolve to support current and future data initiatives, security and reliability. Responsibilities include building out our Terraform solutions and processes to enable digital architecture and infrastructure as a service. This role will also be responsible for maintaining, designing and implementing infrastructure within our cloud and Snowflake environments. Your experience and thought leadership will be able to make a direct impact as we modernize the way we deploy, maintain and scale our platforms.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform, including Data Lake, Storage Accounts, and Cloud Networking.

Deploy and manage Snowflake objects (databases, schemas, roles, warehouses, etc.) using Terraform to ensure consistency and automation.

Implement automated infrastructure deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline infrastructure and Snowflake object provisioning.

Collaborate with data engineers, data architects, and security teams to build a robust and secure data ecosystem.

Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Troubleshoot and optimize cloud networking, storage, and performance issues.

Provide technical inputs and leadership into the maturation of Chipotle’s data management platforms.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

B.A./B.S. degree preferred.

3-5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent in education and experience.

2+ years of experience with Terraform for managing both Azure infrastructure and preferably Snowflake objects.

2+ years of experience with Azure services (Data Lake, Storage Accounts, Networking, Security).

2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps for building CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and Snowflake deployments.

Solid knowledge of cloud networking and best practices in data security.

Experience working in a fast-paced, enterprise environment is a plus.

Ability to handle at times ambiguity and provide technical leadership to improve our processes, patterns and standards.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $86,000.00–$117,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
