Description:

Performs a variety of engineering work including design, analysis, substantiation, certification, drawing interpretation and project management as related to transport category aircraft.

What you will be responsible for:

Design and analyze electrical systems and components, typically in support aircraft interior modifications and avionics upgrades (STC projects).Prepare electrical engineering reports and drawings including electrical wire installation, wire harness fabrication, and wire routing.Develop cabin electrical modification/installation work instructions, procedures and recommendations. Participate in customer design reviews and presentations. Coordinate and monitor electrical aspects of project schedule with project managers. Troubleshoot aircraft electrical issues during STC prototype and post STC.Travel both nationally and internationally required (up to 5%)Other duties as assigned

What you will need to be successful in this role:

BS Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or experience and training in their respective area of expertise to be determined equivalent (2 years minimum preferred).Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring diagrams a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, preferably those created by Boeing, Airbus and other aircraft manufacturers.Ability and experience to create engineering details, assemblies, and installation drawings using AutoCAD or similar software programs.
