This position will lead Gilbarco, Greensboro safety initiatives to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement of safety.
\nKey Responsibilities of assigned area(s)
\n\nManage all health and safety events (e.g.: recordables, first aids, near misses, safety observations, etc.) within health and safety (H&S) management system. Events management to include the following:\n\nDocument event details and manage process for collecting data, while following event reporting protocols\nFacilitate and manage event investigation by leading and supporting team members, while utilizing 5 whys analysis and root cause counter measure (RCCM) tools to drive to root cause\nManage actions to be take and track to closure\nVerify controls are implemented and close events in a timely manner\n\n\nManage and complete required employee training (e.g.: Authorized lock out / tag out (LOTO), powered industrial vehicle, hazardous communication, etc.) using Health & Safety Management system (compliance calendar).\nManage key programs such as Job Safety Analysis, LOTO, ergonomic stretching, job rotation and behavior-based safety (BBS)\nMeasure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control system, tools, policies, and procedures while implementing changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace accidents and injuries\nConducts compliance reviews to ensure standards are being met and actions are prioritized and executed to address gaps\nEnsures incidents are appropriately escalated, investigated, and managed to drive the best possible outcomes and prevent recurrence\nDevelops, leads, and executes strategies to drive exceptional Health & Safety performance\nMeet at regular frequency with leaders to review training requirements, safety tool improvements, closure of actions, management of events and safety trends\nOther duties as assigned\nBackground and Skill
\n\nEducation: BS/BSE degree in Occupation Health and Safety, Science, Engineering, or related \ndiscipline (required) \nMust have 3+ years of safety-related work experience (required)\n2+ year experience work experience in manufacturing sector (required)\nAbility to understand and interpret ANSI and OSHA regulations (required)\n1+ year with lean manufacturing experience (preferred)\nASP / CSP certification (preferred)\nWHO IS GILBARCO VEEDER-ROOT
