This role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes for improvements using various methods of testing and inspection, driving quality improvements through problem solving, and ensure products are manufactured in compliance with customerspecifications, safety standards and design specifications. Oversees and facilitate the implementation of process Quality core tools (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.).
Main Responsibilities, Requirements
Essential functions of the job:
Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows. Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews and audits. Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the YF iOS standards. Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices. Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related toquality concerns or issues. Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses. Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes. Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.). Supportthe risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews · Performs root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross functional team. Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies). · Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).Required Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree Quality, Engineering or similar
Required qualifications:
5-9 Years of Experience within the automotive industry. Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces. Must be organized andable to communicate well with others. Must be able to perform each essentialduty, satisfactorily. Working knowledge and demonstrated competence of IATF16949. IATF 16949 training as Lead Auditor.
