Engineer 2 - Analytics Engineering - Hybrid - Seattle
Job Description

Analytics Engineering Team
The vision for Data Science & Analytics (DSA) at Nordstrom is to be the best data-driven fashion retailer in the world, and we win by being relevant to the customer through an application of insight and prediction to business outcomes.

The Analytics Engineering (AE) team is responsible for designing and developing end-to-end solutions that support BI and Data Science across the company. We facilitate the overall development of automated, self-serve workflows - their platform, reporting database structures, and enterprise data sources. Our self-serve platform for BI/DSA accelerates development and creates value in reduced time-to-production, abstraction of cumbersome engineering tasks, improved accuracy, and infrastructure stability. We also provide data governance, access management, and work to promote analyst projects into full-blown production-grade workflows. Furthermore, AE directly drives feature development from an analyst's perspective across a constellation of platform teams in order to ensure that our tooling is designed and governed in a way that empowers our analyst stakeholders.

Engineer 2 will play a key role working with a team of talented professionals to build the next generation of data enablement for BI and DSA at Nordstrom. You will have various avenues to collaborate and influence several other platforms within Nordstrom Technology and have a companywide impact on business, analytics, and engineering. The ideal candidate is curious, creative, customer-driven, outcome-oriented, and has a passion for the challenges and dynamism of data products.
