Engineer Associate
**Associate Engineer** You will be responsible for the planning, design, development and coordination of assigned engineering projects. You will focus on the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems pertaining to aircraft arresting systems and equipment. The work is accomplished through the implementation of engineering best practices, 3D CAD tools, analysis, and documentation. The position may be responsible for both domestic and foreign customer support. **Location** : Aston, PA **We Take of Our People** Paid Time Off **I** 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing **I** Health and Wellness Benefits **I** Learning and Development Opportunities **I** Referral Program **I** Competitive Pay **I** Recognition **I** Employee Stock Purchase Plan (https://curtisswright.com/investor-relations/overview/default.aspx) **I** Inclusive & Supportive Culture (https://careers.curtisswright.com/en/who-we-are/) **Your Challenges** + Prepare engineering, design and application proposals for new equipment or systems to meet customers’ requirements within cost, schedule and performance constraints. + Develop new or improved equipment, material or methods through research and development. + Perform complex or novel engineering assignments requiring new and improved techniques and procedures. + Conduct full-scale feasibility studies and engineering investigations. + Provide engineering analysis, equipment application and field service to assigned customers as required. + Prepare equipment and component specifications. + Perform standard and complex engineering calculations to solve problems. + Plan and coordinate engineering projects based on statements of work or technical data requirements. + Develop requirements for facilities, equipment and personnel to complete project. + Assess feasibility and soundness of engineering designs, tests or products. + Control and adjust material and personnel requirements of project as directed by superiors. + Communicate with other departments, vendors and customers regarding status, changes in requirements, and progress. + Travel throughout United States and overseas as required to provide training, checkout, test and acceptance of equipment; consultation on problems; or to provide backup for presentations. **What You Bring** + Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. + CAD capability is desired. + 1+ years’ experience in engineering, design, analysis, development or application work desired. + High degree of individual judgment, planning and initiative required. + Problem solving requires consideration of multiple factors such as expediency, timing and human relations. + High degree of innovation is required. + Responsible for accurate work of others. + Problems in performance or completion of project schedules may cause delay in production, financial loss and company reliability. + Frequent contact with other departments, engineering and technical personnel, customers and vendors. + Must work with domestic and foreign customers at all levels. **Who We Are** Our Values (https://www.curtisswright.com/company/sustainability/core-values/default.aspx) Environmental, Social and Governance Curtiss-Wright Arresting Systems / ESCO, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright's EMS Division, is a world leader in emergency arresting systems for military aircraft.
