HOW AN ENGINEER ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Designs, evaluates, plans, tests, and operates electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systemsWork hand-in-hand with project management and installation teams to identify and resolve issues impeding project progressEvaluate system designs and drawings to identify problems during project planning to reduce impacts during executionPerform technical evaluations on system designs and propose resolutions to internal and external stakeholdersDevelop system test and evaluation plansIdentify risks and issues that may affect project success and propose mitigation strategiesInterface directly with customer stakeholders and multiple engineering authorities to identify issues during initial design and corresponding solutionsGenerate Condition Found Reports (CFRs) and Liaison Action Requests (LARs) summarizing problems and propose recommendationsAid industrial installation teams in applying developed solutions on-siteIdentify areas for process improvement and make recommendations for changeEnsure installation of next-generation equipment on Naval Vessels is successful without compromising quality or safety

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering from ABET-accredited schoolRequired Experience: 0+ years of related experienceSecurity Clearance Level: Able to obtain Secret clearanceStrong technical problem solving skills, including evaluating performance of a systemStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organizationStrong organization and time management skills able to balance multiple priorities and clientsAble to read drawingsTechnical writing skillsProficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerpointFamiliarity with Mil-Stds and Navy Modernization Process preferredLocation: Chesapeake, VA; San Diego, CATravel up to 25%US Citizenship Required
