Required License/Registration/Certification None Physical Requirements Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50lbs. Daily activities of a pilot plant facility. Shift Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week) Job Summary The Engineer Associate will assist and advise researchers/faculty with respect to experimental and operational activities of a Rare Earth processing plant. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, research activities, data management and logistical tasks for reporting needs, facility maintenance and supervision, and technical writing. A successful candidate will conduct research programs associated with the recovery of critical materials at the plant and identify operational reporting needs and KPI’s that will assist faculty in data driven decisions. Analyzing data, drawing conclusions and reporting findings from test work in periodic project review reports as required by the funding agency will be a crucial. Writing technical reports as required by the funding agency for quality control and technical guidance is an important aspect of the position. The employee must be a critical thinker, a team leader, an effective supervisor of other team members and have exceptional leadership qualities.
