JR65955 Engineer/Associate Engineer – Data Center and Auto SSD (Evergreen)

As a Firmware Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will work on high-performance controller firmware for innovative volatile and non-volatile memory systems. In this position, you will participate in coding, building, bench testing, debugging, and failure analyzing firmware for new high-performance memory controllers and Solid State Drives that will increase performance, while reducing power, latency and SoC (System on Chip) complexity for the target markets. You can expect to work closely with system test engineers, firmware engineers, firmware test engineers, and firmware tools developers to solve cross-functional product development issues.

As a Simulation Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will work on simulation of high-performance controller firmware for innovative volatile and non-volatile memory systems. In this position, you will participate in coding, building, bench testing, debugging, and failure analyzing firmware simulation models for new high-performance memory controllers and Solid State Drives that will increase performance, while reducing power, latency and SoC (System on Chip) complexity for the target markets. You can expect to work closely with ASIC engineers, firmware engineers, NAND model developers, system test engineers, firmware test engineers, and firmware tools developers to solve cross-functional product development issues.

In the Role as Engineer-Validation, one would be working on design, develop and carryout tests and to validate the product design/architecture and meeting specifications defined internally or through an       external standard committee. The team is focused on validation of Enterprise and Datacenter class Solid State Devices. These devices are targeted towards high value customers and use cases like Datacenter storage solutions. Team members in this team learn about these use cases, understand how to solve problems of our high value customers through our innovative design/architecture. It’s exciting to apply such knowledge into defining good test cases, automate them to run through product life cycles to make sure we deliver a robust product to our valuable customers.

In the software team at Micron, you will have a wide variety of opportunities starting from driver and tools development to validating the entire software stack which shall be used by many functional teams like firmware, validation, quality & reliability, and field engineering. It would be an exciting place to enable validation teams with automation frameworks, with tweaks to drivers at user and kernel space on both Windows, Linux and other real-time operating systems. Innovations and open-source contributions are possible at various levels in the software stack. Starting from understanding the product requirements, to tools requirements from different functional teams, to developing effective and efficient solutions, it’s the right place to start, right out of college in a fast-paced environment with wide knowledge of SSDs, SSD firmware and validation capacities. In this role, you would be responsible for design, development and maintenance of SSD Management applications and frameworks.

As a System Architecture Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will work on high-performance controller firmware for innovative volatile and non-volatile memory systems.
