The Engineer – Electrification designs functional, reliable and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle high voltage electrical systems. Performs engineering analysis and electrical design or re-design, and development of electrical systems and subsystems into existing and new vehicles.

YOUR IMPACT:  

Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.Support senior engineers in the preparation of basic plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.Under close supervision, work on projects of limited complexity in a support role.Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.Under close supervision, design electrical parts and components to correct parameters and specifications while incorporating quality, cost reliability and ease of manufacturing.Support senior engineers with basic and accurate calculations, analysis and investigation according to Oshkosh as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot or production builds, including resolution of problems in manufacturing.Process engineering information through change notices, change proposals, and the creation of thorough print documentation.Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.Other duties as assigned.Regular attendance is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with Internship experience or six (6) or more months related work experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS: 

Accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.                                    Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol.Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s).Power Electronics and Machines familiarity.Energy Storage system familiarity.

Pay Range:

$68,600.00 - $106,300.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
