Engineer End User Computing
All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with VITAS Healthcare Corporation’s policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and governmental regulations.
• To maintain highly available, stable, secure and recoverable database systems that meet or exceed established Service Levels.   • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of End User Computing to develop and implement a framework for regular updates and maintenance of desktop images, mobile devices, VDI infrastructure, and related systems. • Implement VMware technology solutions for virtualization, networking, and storage infrastructures, and end user computing. • Conduct technical investigations of user-reported issues and perform root cause analysis. • Participate in design decisions that impact computing within the company. • Hands-on VMware virtualization and/or cloud experience to support and enhance the end user computing environment. • Maintain and manage mobile device management (MDM) solutions such as Workspace One UEM (Airwatch). • Contribute to product documentation and user manuals. • Perform system maintenance as required. • Implement IT Change Control processes in coordination with the Client Experience team. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technology solutions, emphasizing redundancy, scalability, and security. • Assist in maintaining a team dashboard illustrating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to team and environmental performance. • Design and develop computing solutions that enhance the end-user experience. • Develop and oversee a quality assurance program, including pilot groups, to ensure high-quality system output. • Coordinate with IT Support teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer and alignment. • Create a consistent user experience across various form factors, including iOS devices, Windows desktops, Macintosh computers, virtual desktops, minimal form-factor desktops, and video conference devices. • Identify areas for policy and procedure improvements and provide recommendations. • Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
Experience: • Minimum five years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. • Familiarity with ITIL principles, particularly in Incident & Problem Management. • Understanding of various IT disciplines and their inter-relationships. • Experience in creating technical documentation, including operational procedures and scope policies. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. • Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripting. • Expert familiarity with Group Policy Objects in Active Directory as well as Azure AD. • Experience with cloud virtualization such as AWS, Azure VD, or Google VD workspaces. • Experience with various endpoint management solutions such as Tanium, Intune, PDQ, ManageEngine or Workspace ONE is a plus. • Experience with monitoring platforms, such as ControlUp or vRealize (vROps), is a plus.
Education:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent required.
Certification & Licensure: Certified in ITIL foundations is desirable. Certificates in related areas such as VMWare Digital Workspace, VMware Desktop Management, Carbon Black, and Microsoft is a plus.
