Engineer - Gas Distribution Integrity

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Engineer - Gas Distribution Integrity in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location.

 

This position is a job family posting (Associate Engineer/Engineer/Senior Engineer) where the experience of the selected candidate will determine the level offered.

Job Summary

The Gas Distribution Integrity Engineer provides subject matter expertise, engineering support, project scoping and technical direction to the supporting work groups. This role will be focused on implementing the risk management programs for the company’s gas distribution mains in accordance with 49 CFR 192, Subpart P. 

Job Responsibilities Review and analysis of gas distribution system operating performance – leaks, damages, corrosion control, materials, etc. Scoping of DIMP projects and corrosion driven replacements. Review and validate Leak Reports. Managing the Cross Bore Prevention Program. Maintain the Scoping Document Process. Maintain and utilize GIS DIMP feature layers. Updating and creating annual DIMP Scorecards. Maintain company Risk Model and Perform Risk Analysis. Prepare required Annual Reports. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 0-2 yrs. relevant engineering experience (internship/co-op experience may be included as relevant engineering). Must meet company standards for driving and maintain a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of prior integrity management experience. Experience with Geographic Information Systems. Thorough knowledge of: 49 CFR 192 Subpart P. 49 CFR 192 Subpart O.

Pay Range Minimum:  $64,949.56 

Pay Range Maximum:  $128,844.04 

 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
