You will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team responsible for delivering world class Cardmember experiences across multiple channels including Mainframe and APIs. You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs hands-on software development and testingFunctions as a core member of an agile team driving user story analysis and elaboration, design and development of software applications, testing, and builds automation tools
Performs ongoing refactoring of code and drives continuous improvement in code structure and quality
Uses visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts
Typically spends 90+% of time writing code, api specs, conducting code reviews and testing in ongoing sprints, or doing proof of concepts/automation tools
Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative technologies
This “rebel with a cause” looks beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
Up to 6 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods
Experience with design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate
Hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing
Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
Demonstrated experience with Mainframe - JCL, COBOL, DB2, Stored Procedures in the Mainframe environment.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Account Receivables industry is a plusExperience in Java, backend development, and cloud computing is a plus
