We have an exciting opportunity for Component Engineer to join our Component Engineering Group located in Rancho Bernardo, CA, reporting directly to the Component Engineering Manager. This role will have accountability for Component approval and BOM analysis.
GA’s Electromagnetic Systems (EMS) Group focuses on the military and commercial applications of advanced electromagnetic technologies, including Advanced Launch and Recovery products. DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Sourcing electronic components for existing and new products, packages, and electronic subassembliesFinding replacements for obsolete electrical components and updating current designsUse of Bill of Material (BOM) obsolescence analysis toolsResearching, developing, designing, or selecting components for product improvementsProviding electrical and mechanical engineering supportUnderstanding/interpreting existing electrical and general engineering documentationCooperating with vendors/manufacturing team to find optimum Design for Manufacturing solutionsUnderstanding DMSMS program and implement the pro-active concert
