Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity. **Job Summary** **Dominion Energy is currently seeking an Engineer I the Electrical and I&C Systems department in Site Engineering at the Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT.** The candidate will fill a position in the Electrical and I&C System Engineering Group. The primary area of focus will be electrical systems engineering in support of operating Millstone Units 2 & 3. Specific duties include: Monitoring and trending of electrical system health Preparation of engineering technical evaluations Development of maintenance strategies and corrective action plans and supporting development of design change documentation. Perform other duties as requested or assigned The candidate will work in a broad range of Electrical Power and I&C issues both on the component and system level. Candidates will be expected to have familiarity with nuclear power plant design, including the Electrical Distribution System and or the Instrumentation and Control Systems at the station. A Training program will be provided for the new candidate to obtain a required basic level of knowledge for understanding, plant design basis, operations, maintenances as well as work planning structure, including normal and emergency operating procedures. Engineer I candidates will be expected to perform engineering tasks under general supervision. **Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience** The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following: 0-2+ years of engineering experience; Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory; Oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing); Effective decision making skills; Computer skills and application of software programs; Analytical and abstract thinking skills; Problem solving skills; Ability to learn to apply engineering theories and concepts to complex problems; Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices; Ability to develop effective planning, project and organization skills; Ability to develop project management skills and to handle multiple tasks; Ability to work within a team environment. REQUIRED ENGINEERING CRITERIA: For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met: Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program based on the year that the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technologyand a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited based on the year the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license. **Education Requirements** Required degree (equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree): Bachelor Required discipline(s): Engineering, Electrical preferred **Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description** For Nuclear purposes only: **ANSI 3.1-2014, Section 4.6.1 (** must be documented on form HR-AA-101) Education: Baccalaureate degree in Engineering or related science(Physics, Chemistry, Math, Engineering Technology acceptable if all other pieces of the third prong of the Required Engineering Criteria listed in KSA section are met). Minimum Experience for the position: Related experience which shall include 2 yrs; Nuclear power plant experience to include 1 yr.
