The software services team is responsible for using standard methodologies to build outstanding software products. We are seeking individuals with software development and integration experience in clinical and research settings. Candidates should be able to tackle technical challenges with cloud-based, big-data, and rich analytics tools.

You should be proficient in all stages of software development, from identifying requirements to delivering customer solutions. You are passionate about crafting outstanding software designs and working in an Agile/SCRUM setting. You enjoy collaborating with scientists, chemists, and bioinformaticians to develop innovative clinical and research solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited about using your problem-solving skills to improve the human condition.

Essential functions:

Design, develop, test, deploy, administrate, and maintain database, data transformation, data visualization, reporting, and medical information systems and platforms.Responsible for initial design and development of new software and/or extensive software revisions.Represent the team in cross-organizational development forums as well as customer requirements gathering and software validation and training sessions.Rely on extensive experience and judgment to understand complex problems and resolve them efficiently.Participate in training and orienting new software engineers as they join the team.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalency and 1-3 years of experience.Enthusiastic about developing top-notch software solutions that make a positive impact on people's lives.Significant understanding of object-oriented design and programming.1-3years of solid hands-on experience with Java; other languages (C++, C#, Ruby, Python will be considered).1-3 years JavaScript, HTML5/CSS.Experience using Agile software development methodologies.Prior exposure to scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Perl, Bash) on Windows or Linux.Experience, instincts, and enthusiasm around testing and testability.Experience with JavaScript Testing frameworks (mocha/jasmine, protractor/selenium, karma).Experience working with geographically distributed teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Web Service design experience: SOAP Request/Response handling, authentication, REST APIs.Experience with databases, persistence frameworks, and SQL.

Preferred:

Experience in developing multi-tier, scalable, and browser-based applications. Preference will be given to those with knowledge of cloud-based applications using AWS.Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/XP).Cloud Experience.Strong Web 2.0 experience essential, including use of OO Javascript, Ajax, JS libraries (eg ExtJs/jQuery/DOJO/ etc) Bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS, JSON, strong understanding of browser compatibility issues.Knowledge of user interface frameworks such as AngularJS and JQuery. Kendo UI, REST API.Experience with JavaScript, HTML5/CSS.
