Position Summary: (1-2 sentences)
Responsible for NPI / VAVE / Production with learning agility, technical leadership, product system and project process overview covering Scientific instruments (Electron Microscope, Ion Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, etc.) and Bio Medical Device (Next Gene Sequencer, Flow Cytometry, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform solid root cause analysis and provide professional solution to quality issue and production problem from components level to system level with domain expertise build-up, ensuring product delivery on time with high quality.Develop initial evaluation plan for localized part or new part with ECO and then submit professional report for local peer and R&D peer review to drive on time delivery and / or cost reduction.Collaborate with the Quality & product line to find opportunities for improving FPY, handle equipment calibration and reducing waste within the value stream and at suppliers.Participate NPI project, lead or support production start-up activities, prepare BOM in ERP system, working instruction/pFMEA, test procedure, design process flow and design test fixture.Identify CTQs in manufacturing process. Provide the training to production line operators to ensure the operators understand CTQs and manufacture the products in an effective and right way.Responsible for Engineering Change (ECN) validation and implementation and BOM accuracy in ERP systemSupport operations projects related to new product introductions, cell lay-out, and large-scale process improvements.Participate and Lead Kaizen activities.Conduct Designs of Experiments for analytical Problem Solving.Build and maintain work instructions, ERP BOMs, ERP Routings and device history records.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Industrial/Manufacturing/Electrical or similar. Master is preferred.Manufacturing engineer 5+ years and design engineer experience 3+ years is a plus, Scientific instruments industry.Extensive knowledge of electronics, mechanics, optics and chemistry, being familiar with the structure and working principle of one or several scientific instruments, and having the ability to quickly locate and solve problems.Proficient in SolidWorks / AutoCAD to design with feasible and reasonable tolerance knowledge. Familiar with various materials manufacturing processes, treatment processes for specific application. Familiar with mechanical transmission and precision positioning.Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and practices.Familiarity with ERP, such as SAP or QADMulti-national factory working experience (>5 years) is preferred.Self-motivated individual, possessed a mature and responsible natureGood English skill both in oral and written is essential
