General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join the Software Performance Testing group in Poway, CA. This position is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment with hands-on access to our industry-leading RPA platform, MQ-9B. The engineer will execute Systems Integration Lab testing of ground station interfaces, flight critical functions, and reconnaissance payload features before software is released. This includes working with hardware, software, networked computer system solutions, and teaming with coworkers to develop effective approaches for resolving a wide range of difficult engineering problems.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Quickly learn the principles of General Atomics products as well as software progression from development, unit testing, integration and regression testing.Perform test activities under minimal supervision. Determine and develop various approaches to evaluate system features and describe observations.Provide hands on troubleshooting and problem-solving support during all phases of test with an emphasis on identifying, analyzing, and troubleshooting complex test and integration issues utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.Collaborate with software developers and engineering leads. Assist software engineers with test setup, and foster system knowledge sharing.Adhere to development processes using established methods and tools.Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.Perform other duties as assigned or required.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
