Engineering Intern

We are looking for an Engineering (Technical) Intern for our Charlotte, NC site!

The Engineering Intern will be working with closely with the Business Unit Manager to optimize the shot peening process, including design and execution.

Location: Charlotte, NC

Salary: $18-$21/hour

Your Challenge

Operate and maintain a 3D Printer.Design and fabricate custom tooling using conventional methods and 3D printing.Identify opportunities for masking/general improvements.Identify opportunities for masking/general improvementsCreate SolidWorks models, assemblies and drawingsSupport machine improvements, troubleshooting, & repairsResearch and procure materials from vendorsPotentially travel to facilities for on-site work

What You Bring

Mechanical Engineering student of sophomore standing or higher with at least a 3.0 GPA in majorCAD Modeling Experience (ideally SolidWorks)3D Printing Experience (experience with Cura software)Manual lathe & vertical Mill experience a plusDesign & Build Experience (e.g. Robot team, Catapult Team, HPVC Team, or personal projects)
