Engineer-Mechanical I

Summary: Engineer-Mechanical I needed to support departments, manage tooling initiatives, and maintain compliance with technical manuals.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; or 2-5 years of related experience and/or training

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)

Experience with ERP and Documentation Control programs

Preferred Skills:

Capacity to lift/move up to 30 pounds

Willingness to travel 5-10% internationally

Adaptability of Mechanical/Technical/Interpersonal skills for unique organizational needs

Responsibilities:

Support all departments and external customers by resolving tooling or documentation issues

Apply mechanical aptitude/knowledge for effective problem-solving

Prioritize health, safety, and flight safety in job execution

Manage internal improvement initiatives for tooling efficiency and quality enhancement

Determine necessary tool requirements for industrial operations departments

Order necessary tooling via ERP system while ensuring compliance with technical manuals

Process customer property/tools for repair/replacement and manage incoming new/repaired tools from suppliers

Validate new tools/processes during first article process for new engines or repair procedures introduction

Perform basic repairs on damaged/nonconforming tooling or route for appropriate repair; order replacements as needed

Collaborate with Tech Support Engineers on specialty equipment orders based on technical documentation requirements

Maintain databases for calibrated tooling inventory, asset tracking, expiration dates of perishables used in operations

Engage in cross-functional improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean, MRO
