Job Description SummaryThe Thermal Performance Engineer will be executing highly technical services on various turbine models covering gas turbine and combined cycle applications. The successful execution of these global services will require that you adhere to internal processes while being open to the challenges that may arise. Our engineers are accountable for the quality our customers feel when purchasing our services. Areas of customer quality include accurate/timely documentation, appropriate/timely installation of instrumentation, accurate collection of field data, various site activities, and communications.   
The position requires approximately 50% travel in 1 to 4 week intervals, to destinations around the world. ** This is an estimate; travel requirements vary, with peak outage seasons seeing higher percentages and peak demand seasons seeing less travel.

Essential Functions:                                                                                                                             

Execute highly technical services on steam turbine, gas turbine, and combined cycle power plantsReview commercial guarantees, test expectations/requirements, and develop performance test procedures in accordance with contracts and international standardsPrepare, plan, and execute field thermal performance testsAnalyze data, calculate test results, diagnose and evaluate testing and thermal performance issuesAnalyze and develop thermal performance corrective actions as neededPrepare test reports for internal and external distributionExecute statistical risk and error propagation analysesCommunicate and coordinate with internal and external customers regarding testing activities, schedules, technical issues, and test resultsSupport continued development and improvement of performance analysis tools and processes.Support new service development initiatives

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in thermal performance engineering)Strong thermodynamic skillsAbility to travel extensively in support of global assignments (up to 50%)

The base pay range for this position is 69,600.00 - 104,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% bonus.
