Basic Job Functions:

Define implements and monitors quality systems (including training), materials and product specifications according to Company Policy and ISO Standards facilitating internal and external customer satisfaction. Supervise calibration activities to ensure equipment is maintained to Company standards.

Education/Experience:

Minimum 4-year Technical Degree, or Equivalent quality experience. Desired 6 months supervision experience. 1-3 years quality/engineering experience in manufacturing environment. 1-3 years' experience with gauge design and calibration system.

Required Skills/Competencies:

Proven Quality Assurance Management knowledge and experience with ISO 9001. Proven employee relations skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Proven problem-solving skills and use of statistical methods (Six Sigma tools, SPC). Knowledge of internal quality audit procedures. Proven knowledge of ISO standards and procedures. Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel – SQL a plus). Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for implementing and monitoring Quality Systems, materials and product specifications in accordance with Company Policy and ISO standards. Responsible for the maintenance and oversight of Calibration Quality Systems. Responsible for the development and the maintenance of incoming inspection work instructions and records per ISO standards. Responsible for the training of personnel on Quality System requirements and procedures as required. Collaborates with other departments, customer and supplier representatives on quality issues and feedback for manufacturing and engineering for corrective/preventive action. Responsible for assisting with the inspection and qualification of suppliers' products and ensuring incoming material quality meets established criteria. Responsible for problem solving of internal quality issues for continuous improvement. Participates in the production readiness process of new designs and new equipment. Develop and support new gauge methods for improvements to inspection methods and process controls.  Job description subject to change at any time. 

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to the Director- Quality. 

Travel:

If hiring to a new plant prior to plant start, associate will be required to spend extended time (60-80%) in another plant in either Ohio or Alabama for training until their assigned plan starts equipment installation.

Estimated Salary Range:

$58,900-$83,950 Annually. 

US Physical Requirements:

Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day. Will climb stairs on an occasional basis. Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a seldom basis. Will lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on a frequent basis. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis. 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards). All associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair).
