Fuel Engineering Technologies is looking for an graduate engineer to join the Reactor Technologies & Methods team and perform, and provide technical leadership in design, development, training, performance, and delivery of complex products and services.
Your Day-to-Day:
Advancement/Maintenance of Core Engineering Software and Automation Products. Engage with Fuel Engineering Methods experts and end users to understand the areas for improvement & automation. Development of software & automation tools to improve quality and efficiency Engage with Fuel Engineering Technology end users to support implementation and feedback Coordination with software development to maintain automation and tools Perform software engineering design and testing in support of the Westinghouse nuclear analysis, utility, and related code systems Participating in training to obtain qualifications in the Core Engineering and/Software Design functional areas. Supporting general Core Engineering Design codes, procedure and methods development and updates.Your Day-to-Day:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Discipline (e.g. Materials, Mathematics etc.) preferred or recognized equivalent required 0-3 years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines Nuclear Engineering/Physics Mechanical/Materials Engineering Software/Computer Engineering/Mathematics Experience with modern programming languages such as C/C++, Fortran 95/2003, Java, Python, or C#/.NETPreferred:
Nuclear Industry experience Knowledge of Westinghouse nuclear code suite (APA) Working understanding of data modeling approaches Experience in software projects that follow software engineering standards (requirements, design, implementation, testing) Experience with source code version control systems Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in an international team-oriented environment
