Engineer (Structural/Geotechnical)

We are seeking highly skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated Engineers with a background in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering to join our dynamic team in a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects, particularly within the aviation and infrastructure sectors. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Team Leadership & Project Management:** + Partner with a team of engineers on multiple, complex projects, ensuring collaboration and seamless coordination across disciplines. + Oversee all phases of engineering projects, from initial design through to permitting, construction, and completion. + **Design & Documentation:** + Develop and deliver key project documents, such as: + Project Definition Book (PDB) + Basis of Design (BOD) + Concept Design + Design Development + Construction Documents + Technical Specifications + Plan-Check & Permitting Packages + Technical Reports + Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the designs meet regulatory requirements, client specifications, and project goals. + **Quality Control & Compliance:** + Ensure that designs are compliant with local, state, and federal codes, as well as industry standards, particularly in the aviation sector. + Conduct thorough technical reviews and coordinate with project managers to ensure the accuracy and quality of all deliverables. + **Problem Solving & Innovation:** + Provide innovative engineering solutions to complex project challenges, balancing technical feasibility with project requirements. + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve design challenges, ensuring project success and minimizing risk. + **Client & Stakeholder Interaction:** + Regularly interact with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing technical expertise and project updates. + Prepare and present project progress reports and technical documents to clients and stakeholders. **Minimum Qualifications:** + **Educational Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. + A Master’s degree in Engineering is a plus and may be preferred for senior-level candidates. + **Professional Licensure:** + California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT), depending on experience level. + For Structural Engineers: SE (Structural Engineer) licensure is preferred. + For Geotechnical Engineers: GE (Geotechnical Engineer) licensure is preferred. + **Certifications:** + Optional but highly regarded certifications include AAAE, LEED, PMP, and other relevant professional licenses or certifications. + **Experience:** + 0-5 years of experience for Junior Engineers + 5-10 years of experience for Mid-Level Engineers + 15+ years of experience for Senior Engineers + Preferred experience in airport projects or other large-scale infrastructure projects. **Compensation:** $83k-229k The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law.
