Summary/Objective: The Engineering Technician can work within a dynamic group to meet project goals and timelines. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1.Create/Update part and assembly CAD data using AutoCAD, Creo & SolidWorks 2.Create/Update part and assembly drawings to identify critical characteristics 3.Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure parts are manufacturable 4.Process change actions utilizing Enovia 5.Designs and drawings must be free from errors6. Ensure changes are implemented according to customer needs Other Key Responsibilities: 1.Must be able to review customer prints and identify changes. 2.Determine if any new parts are required to meet customer expectations. 3.Work with customers to manage part proliferation 4.Document and process all changes using Lippert change management processes. 5.Finalizes all engineering documentation necessary for product release. Working Conditions: •Primarily working indoors, office environment. •May sit for several hours at a time. •Prolonged exposure to computer screens. •Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers. Qualifications: 1.Associate’s degree in engineering & or (2) and/or two years’ experience 2.Formal education in CAD Drafting & engineering technology, or related field 3.Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 4.Ability to read and interpret documents. 5.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend work is also necessary on occasion. Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
