Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineer Tester with 3–5 years of experience in fiber testing, materials analysis, and quality assurance to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical, optical, or chemical testing and a strong commitment to maintaining industry standards.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct advanced testing, analyze results, and contribute to product optimization for applications in telecommunications, aerospace, and advanced materials.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform mechanical, thermal, and optical testing, including tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and attenuation analysis.
• Utilize advanced tools such as OTDR, SEM, FTIR, and DSC for material and fiber evaluations.
• Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports to inform R&D and quality assurance teams.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop testing protocols and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO 9001) and safety regulations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in fiber or materials testing, preferably in telecommunications or advanced composites.
• Proficiency in testing equipment (e.g., OTDR, SEM, TGA, DSC) and analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, LabView).
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9001, ASTM D123, or ITU-T G.652.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT).
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with data visualization tools and reporting software.
