What this job involves –

The role of the Engineering and Facilities Manager is to ensure the proper operation of all hard services at the Facility. They must establish, operate, and maintain a comprehensive program which allows an organization to manage and oversee the Maintenance of the Building, Building Systems and Equipment.

Your day to day:

This leadership role is focused on hard services with engineering services at the forefront. The primary job responsibilities are as follows:

Life Cycle Asset Maintenance – ensure all critical equipment vendor PM’s are completed as per scheduleEnsure compliance by completing all related training, Action Items/Audit Responses, and ensuring that all critical PMs are completed on timeEnsure all safety, environmental, and standards are strictly adhered to within managed facilitiesEnsure compliance with portfolio wide initiatives and required local, state and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operating of facilitiesImprove safety performance by changing level of awareness and changing behaviorsDevelop, track and implement energy conservation initiatives and document savingsMeasure and manage client feedback, written and verbal throughout the yearConduct formal and informal relationship meetings with contactsAny and all other duties and tasks assigned

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred), HVAC or Mechanical degree (preferred),Facilities Management, or related field experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or engineeringStrong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safetyProficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyKnowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainability initiativesFamiliarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulationsProfessional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
