Job DescriptionPLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of 12 -18 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
The Engineering and Technical Equipment Coordinator will primarily be responsible for preparing and coordinating logistical support from the Monroe warehouse, which includes engineering equipment and technology that will be used to support broadcast for the Olympics.
Responsibilities:
Communicates with Technical Logistics and Production Services to facilitate deliveries of Engineering equipment and supplies to the Monroe Warehouse Integration area.Assists with the preparation of venue equipment for shipping to Host country.Assists Venue Engineering Project Managers, with the preparation of equipment shipments to Host Country.Assists with the preparations of video, audio, fiber, and Data cable, to be shipped to the Host Country.Assists with the testing of small systems in preparation for shipping.Works with Tech Log personal to move equipment from the warehouse and bring to the Venue staging area for final integration and testing.Assists with the organization of the spare Venue parts inventory.Participates in the inventory control and management via an inventory tracking management software system (VIS & OEMS) to provide information to Engineering clients.Scans equipment in and out of the Systems integration area.Builds equipment lists and pull list from OEMS system.Assists with creating shipment requests in OEMS and managing the handoff to Tech Log.Contributes to technical and physical tasks required for the installation of a television production system.Acts as primary State-side Liaison to Technical Logistics team when main Engineering team is deployed to Host Country.Utilizes material handling equipment to move boxes, pallets and bulk containers between integration and storage areas.QualificationsBasic Requirements:
PC computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to learn and understand NBC specific software systemsStrong time management & organizational skillsPossesses ability to multi-task and make decisions with multiple alternatives and implement appropriate actionMust have excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as good customer service and interpersonal abilitiesStrong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work well with others under pressure in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work long hours and weekends when requiredPhysical ability to lift at least 40 poundsDesired Characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree in Communication/ Production preferred or equivalent work experienceWorking knowledge of broadcast and television equipment, audio and video cables/connection and production suppliesBasic knowledge of broadcast or production logistics preferred Strong time management & prioritization skillsFamiliarity with engineering terms and practices is a plusExperience with Audio, Video and Computers systems a plusKnowledge of IP infrastructureWillingness to travel to Olympics Host City for approximately 4 – 8 weeks (estimated January 2026)Additional Requirements:
